I wish it was show art, but it's show BUSINESS.
My first job in New York: I was an understudy,
pit-singer, and assistant stage manager. On Broadway.
I was too naive to understand my luck.
But the show closed after ONE performance
and then they tore down the theatre.
In the 40 years since, I've had much good luck.
I've worked with so many talented actors, directors, writers, composers—on everything from
big productions to unpaid readings.
